Our firstborn, Nicole Lee was delivered by C-section today at the Subang Jaya Medical Centre. Our doctor Dr. Ang proposed caesarean due to Susan's age. It was quite like what the movies make it out to be, anxious wait for the dad to be, pacing around the waiting room and praying, yeah praying to God for a safe delivery.
I think the OT door must have opened about three times and each time I checked to see if it was my baby girl. And at the third time it indeed was our little Nicole. Oh, she was so small and fragile. So more waiting as I did not know when they I could see both mommy and baby.
I went to the room as soon as Sue was wheeled back from OT and she was still drowsy from the anaesthetic. It was probably another 30 minutes before the much awaited arrival of our baby girl. The nurse got mommy to feed Nic and she duly obliged. Minutes later Nic cried and my she sure has strong lungs as she was loud. Weight 3.13 kg Length 50 cm
