Kebun Kaki Bukit @ Janda Baik
It is Chinese New Year - Day # 3 and my childhood pal Stephen (plus Agnes and Amos) met us at Gombak toll at 0830 hours. And boy both parties timing was on the minute mark. Both cars made the trip to the new KKB farm.
The site is much smaller than the previous farm in Kuala Selangor (2 acres versus 10 acres) but the mild weather more than made up for it.
We met four WWOOFers there - from Brazil and Switzerland. The pond is being prepped to breed fish on commercial basis.

Outing With Friends #2 - The Curve
Installment #2 was attended by seven as the rest were away. The day began at The Escape Room - where as the name implied you need to escape from the room (themed Space Voyager) in a given time by solving puzzles. Nicole said it was over rated.
Next came Laser Warzone which was a big a lotta fun. It that laser tag war games.
After a meal at McDonald's was time for arcade action followed by a Japanese fantasy/thriller movie called Death Note. Unfortunately it was neither thrilling nor terrifying.
The coming new year will see them go separate ways as it will be Form One with each attending schools of their own.

Outing With School Mates at 1Utama
Outing #1 was to 1Utama mall in Bandar Utama - ten kids in total. All from class 6E, Class of 2016. They had lots of fun - watched Fantastic Beasts, went bowling, played at arcade. They enjoyed it so much that they already planned for the next outing.

New Friends
We met the kids about two weeks ago at the playground near grandma's house. Turned out they are all Puay Chai school students too.
From left; Soon Zheng (age 9), Amelia (age 9), Nic and Julian (age 7).
They get along great playing badminton, the swing or any dog that happens to be around like 'Patches' (pic), an adorable Beagle.
Julian shouted 'I Love You' to Nic the first day they met and has been repeating it at school every time they meet. He's a cheeky one.

Many thanks to Saidi and Haniza for inviting us to their home. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch feasting on nasi dagang, serunding daging, pulut, satay and ketupat. Best eaten with your hand.

The Highway of Life
No this is not a poem. The hustle and bustle of everyday life has caused me to lose touch with some friends. Saddest part is we are living in the same city but I have lost touch with some of them. The only contact is maybe a text message on the annual holidays like Christmas and New Year's eve.
Today I found out, 33 days ago an old colleague and friend of mine lost his son. The lad was just 22 and was due to start work in a few days. I cannot imagine how great this loss must have been to the family. I phoned him today and I could sense the sadness in his voice. I felt a sense of guilt, a regret for not making the effort to keep in touch. I have heard the phrase 'Life is Short' so many times before and truly it is brief. My heart is still troubled.

Victor's Blog
We were at Stephen and Catherine's home last night en route to the night market at SS2 to help give out flyers for the church and chanced to see Victor, their youngest son updating his blog, The Time of My Life . BTW Nicole thinks Victor is so handsome.
