Property Talk at Westin KL

I had been getting calls from Jardin Smith International (JSI) for two months now from different telemarketers. Each time I told them I did not have any funds to invest. Despite that the lady still insisted that I attend and I'd get a RM100 Isetan gift voucher as token for listening to the presentation. As we did not have any plans this weekend I thought, why not!

JSI is similar to companies like Walton and Profitable Plots where one can purchase a "bite-size" (1076 sq ft per unit) plot of land in the UK for investment. The plot of land is in the Birmingham area called Water Orton.

Traffic was a breeze as many are still out of town for the Hari Raya break. We were attended by Doreen, a very pleasant lady and she actually made the next 90 minutes seem so comfortable. All this time Nicole was playing with a few other kids in the play area. I'd say the product is very interesting if you had a spare 70 grand to splash about.

We had dinner at the Pavilion food court and I tell you the place was packed.  We liked the Mee Jawa  (RM8.50) as it tasted good and it had a decent serving of curry squid in it. The chops was good but would have been better had the sauce been hot.

After dinner we took a drive around the city and stopped by my alma mater St. John's Institution. Our timing was good as the bells of St. John's cathedral were ringing as we arrived. Nicole was excited with that and asked if we could attend mass. Not today honey!

The red and white-brick Grecian-Spanish architecture is beautiful! I was surprised to see the main building looking so well-kept. But then again it is gazetted as a National Heritage Building.

Later we cruised past the Petaling Street area before heading back as Nic was asleep by now.
